What I wore to the Wakati album launch

Dar es salaam’s night scene and musical concert

Striking a balance between overdressing and underdressing is really hard. The line between the two is so thin. On days like these, I often opt for a white top. White clothes have a way of looking so elegant without looking too formal. Pair that with jeans, and you have officially split your body between the over and under dress zone.

So, for this night, I opted for this white sweater tee that I picked up from a trash can -yes you read right- and these high waisted jean trousers from H&M. The tee, was obviously not something that I would personally pick out of a rack because my mom would kill me if I ever spent money on half a shirt. However, the tee has proven to be pretty useful for nights like these.

I will write a separate post on the album launch itself. All you have to know for now is that Isack Abeneko (@abeneko_tz) and his band are one of the best performances I have ever sat through in Dar...they flippin' deliver!
