MUD aka Mudspot

chai latte at brunch

new york

In October, my work took me to New York. New York! The city of lights! Such a fave! Though there are many things to do in New York, this was not the trip for it. Like I said, I was here for work. So, the least I could do in the few days that I was there was to Chai find, and I did. I found Chai at MUD aka Mudspot.

My lovely sister friend Renee -an amazing videographer by the way- who understands my love for Chai, made sure that I go for brunch at MUD before I left NYC. So, on the morning before my flight, I, Renee and our other sister friends Natalina, Roshni and Lena, made it a point to brunch at MUD. Let me just say, this was the best decision I had made all week.

MUD is a cozy and hippy place on 9th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. It seems like a cool place to grab coffee when you walk in but you do not immediately feel like it would be a great place to order tea. Yet, MUD is perhaps the place I have had the best Chai Latte in America. All their hot drinks are served in these cute colored tin cups that remind you of bonfires, marshmallows and warm blankets.

The Chai at MUD is supper aromatic and delicious. You can taste every spice and each puff unfolds a new flavor. You want to keep drinking but you do not want the cup to finish. The best part is that, their brunch comes with a hot and cold drink and so we each had a Chai with our brunch at no extra cost. What more could a girl ask for?

I say, if you are ever in New York and needing a warm cup, do pay MUD a visit.

You can thank me later

Love,

Bernie
