Postcards from Marseille

a solo sleep-cation weekend in Marseilles

Sometimes, you just need a change of scenery. After a stressful semester in Paris, I took a trip down to the South of France and ended up on Rue de la Republique, Marseille. I stayed at the cutest Airbnb with this lady who was so kind as to share with me her book guide to the city. I could’ve just told her that all I wanted was to lay next to the ocean and sunbathe and eat ice cream -which is exactly what I did- but I didn’t!

I wish I had more exciting things to say about Marseille but that was actually it!

The only exciting moment was that I almost missed my train back to Paris. I overslept -a total indicator of how tired I was. Threw everything into my bag. Called an Uber to the station and ran to my train like a mad person. Jumped on to the closest door that was open and as soon as I jumped on, the train doors closed and off the journey to Paris begun! A sigh of relief, fighting back tears and drinking some water….

A couple of hours and I was back in Paris.
